Some Observations On The Co-Workers

Hello Everyone: Almost a week into my fall break and I managed to get a few things done around the house. This is how dull my non-work life is right now. Job search-wise, it was a little slow this week but hopefully it should pick up next week. The Brit BG is waiting to hear back from the BBC about whether his children's show proposal moves on to the next round. He has a great idea and the draft of the proposal should get the BBC's attention. I hope he's successful with it because he so deserves it. As for me, after the break I plan to look for eays to expand on my duties at work. I think I can do more than just be the assistant. My plan is to move up into a paraprofessional position, teaching a couple of social studies classes and help out with the after school art program. Hopefully that translates to more money and hours. I like the class, as energetic as they are, but I positively know I can lead the class. Also, the other TAs seem pretty dull witted. One TA I met was extremely chatty. This person carried on about how much she detested the color pink. That's the best she could do? Anyway, I have more in common with the teachers than some high school graduate that's nothing more than an over paid child minder. I just smile, remain civil, and try not to act too bored. Fortunately I don't have to deal with them for another week or so.
