Spoken
Hello Everyone:
Tomorrow it's back to work. That's nice to say. I'm definitely grateful that I have a steady and secure job. It's not perfect, no such thing exists, but it's mine. Anyway, tomorrow and Friday are short days and I plan to make the most of the extra time. Mostly, I have to do the laundry and housework. Now I'm glad I did all the grocery shopping on Monday instead of wait until tomorrow. I have the extra time to do other things, like look for another curatorial assistant job. The one I applied for gave me the confidence to go after others. Besides I like museums. Working in a museum is always something I wanted to do since my undergrad days. It's something I aspire to because for however many hours a day I can escape into a world surrounded by beauty. Make no mistake, it's work and requires all the time and attention that go with work. It can be stressful and mind numbingly dull, like any other work environment but I wouldn't want any other way. A lot of people aspire to work in a museum or gallery, thinking it's the coolest thing on the planet. It is but it's also a regular job that can leave you absolutely burnt out. Honestly, I don't care. I'll take the bad with the good because I want to be there and do well. The Brit BF once told me that the first step in making a dream come true is to speak it in existence. I've spoken
