Job Plot Twist
Hello Everyone:
It has been a particularly busy afternoon and now I have a headache. I spent some time today doing the job search thing but really wasn't that in to it. Mainly, I registered for some job search agency because if I want unemployment money, I have to do it and may not be for too much longer. So, aside from getting ready for the telecom interview re-do, I got an email from a recruiter announcing he had a couple of possibilities for me. One was for an unnamed healthcare place that was looking for people to remotely staff it's call center and the other was my previous contact trace job with the local school district. I had a feeling that would happen. I told the recruiter to send a resume to the healthcare place and let's keep an eye on the contact trace job. If my suspicions are correct, I'll be getting a recall email soon, in which case I would answer available. What about the telecom company? The truth is as nice as it would be to have a permenant job, I'm not all that thrilled about having to commute on a regular basis. It takes up too much of my time and energy. True the contact trace job or the possible call center job aren't permenant but it's something I already am trained for and I don't have to commute. Also, I can continue to do my project management course and, of course, blog before I go to work (or during) as well as the regular household stuff. That doesn't mean I won't stop looking for more permenant work or, maybe, go with the freelance work. All options are on the table.
