A Second Look

Hello Everyone: Thursday was a bit of a busy day. Aside from the usual chores, I attended a quickly arranged Zoom information session for an insurance company looking for people. It was more of the usual pile of "we love our employees" bollocks, very short on substance. The hiring manager was joy much help and I told her I'd think about it. The next day, after a bit confusion with the HR company, I staryed thinking more about the insurance company. I emailed my contact person a few wuestions and will get back to her on Monday if she doesn't get back to me first. In the meantime I googled reviews and the results were mixed. The most people liked the work-life balance and the work culture (whatever that is) but there seemed to be issues surrounding pay. It seems that most of the complaints came from field insurance agents. Also, I need more clarity on what exactly I would do and how I'd get paid. Based on the answers I get, I'll decide whether or mot commit. I think that's fair. If I do commit, it would mean I'd have to set aside the online course I started for a while. I'm actually okau with that because I'm started to feel like it's not enough and I want more. Also, I'm doing it on my own and for myself. In the meantime, the rest of my weekend was pretty status quo. Sis and BIL are going out of this week and the nephews are out of the house, so no weekly lunch. No worries.
