Passed Over
Hello Everyone:
It is officially Passover and my first totally stress-free Passover. No manic cooking and cleaning meant that I could try to enjoy the holiday. In fact, for the first time in who knows how long I went to Sis's house for the first night and got a reminder why I haven't participated in their Seder. My biggest complaint (I'm not the only one) is their Seders take too long. It's like everyone feels the need to say something clever, dig out some obscure religious explanation about every significant and insignificant thing in hopes of sounding profound and inspirational. That was the case yeaterday evening when my oldest diva niece and her boy husband tag teamed to cite every rabbinic reason for who knows what. To his credit, the BIL tried to keep things moving along but the diva niece kept insisting on reading something she thought was inspirational. I left after the meal because I decided I didn't want to until 2:00 am. The best part was seeing the babies. Cute as ever. Anyway, tomorrow I'm supposed to start training for the actual job. The HR company is sending me everything I need so I can get to work. I had another attack of job remorse on Friday but finally reckoned that I if I want stuff, I have to work. Also, I can pursue my own career interests. This could all work out nicely for me.
