Obvious Information

Hello Everyone: I continued with my job training today, feeling slightly less remorseful. The Brit BF did remind that contact tracing is not the dream job but the paycheck can afford me a nice bauble or two. He is right and I also told him that I'm on the look out for any permenant job that comes out of it. Anyway, today's training was on the Health Insurence Personal Portability Act, HIPPA for short. The basic premise of the 20-minute training video is keep other peoples' health information confidential. I could've saved the 20 minutes this video took and just repeated all the information to the HR company. I mean, seriously, why would anyone be interested in someone else's private health care information. I guess there are those unscrupulous few that would gladly share it with interested parties for a few dollars but, really, it's not worth it. The penalities for doing that range from suspension (the least of the worries) to prison (up to ten years plus a six-digit fine). Seriously. Anyway tomorrow it's the sexual harassment training video. That should be fun trying to figure out when it's innocent and when it's inappropriate. Working from home, that's not a concern. My basic work place procedure, keep the comments neutral and hands to yourself. Don't even share any images or emails that could be construed as inappropriate. Image your mum or granny looking at it. Come to think about it, my late mum would've gotten the biggest thrill in decades if she got a sexually explicit email or been felt up. Sorry, I shouldn't, but I just couldn't help myself. My contact person was also driving me a little nutty today with some paperwork. Everyone has to fill out a form, documenting their citizenship status and provide proof. My contact person kept nagging about clean close up pictures of my identifications because whoever processes this form can't be bothered to make an effort to read it. Whatever, she got what she wanted and I'm going to get what I want, so there.
