Mum Needs To Work Harder
Hello Everyone:
A generally good day. My oldest niece came by with my baby nephew, who is just this adorable ball of chub. Mum is still popping half a Xanax for her anxiety and that makes her oh-so-fun to deal with. I really wished her doctor prescribed a glass of wine. At least that's more enjoyable than some pill that makes you sleepy. I also finished off an application to a non-profit public policy organization in Washington D.C. The actual application wasn't too horrid, given that I used my professional social media profile which cut considerably down the work. Would I move to Washington if they offered me the job? Well, yes but we're a very long way off from that. Meanwhile, I still am waiting to hear back from the city planning department. I have a better chance of getting an offer from them than I do the non-profit because I've already jumped through enough hoops. Right now, any offer is fiction until it becomes fact. In the meantime, I'm keeping an eye for other opportunities, like in New York City that just popped up. Got to move fast. Also today, a new carer started with us today. She's an older woman with ten years experience with the caregiver company. Naturally, mum doesn't like her. I'm just so tired of having to supervise the carers and manage the house at the same time. I try to encourage to mum to interact more with the carers. In fact, mum asked what I wanted from her in order to run the house more smoothly. I told her point blank I needed her to step up with the carers. I've absolutely had enough with her whining, excuses, and daily pity parties
