Everything Going My Way

Hello Everyone:

After a kind of difficult weekend and start of the week, the rest of the day turned out well.  This past weekend was another one of those weekends where everything seemed to end in an argument.  The argument was the same one, mum is completely oblivious to the fact that I've been bending over backwards to accommodate her needs.  It started on Friday morning when she decided to give me another one of her "lectures" on how I should change my attitude and be more positive about myself.  I just wasn't having it and things kind of went from there.  Over supper that evening, I basically told her that I want the kind of relationship I always envisioned but it's hard to make that come true when I have to do all the work.  Speaking of doing all the work, I was ready to smack the chatty carer yesterday.  She informed me that we we've been out of wipes for about a week.  That was news to me.  I think she had the idea that I was going to make a special trip to the drugstore to pick up a fresh supply, not going to happen.  That's part of her job.  Well, the universe was on my side because Sis texted me during my run to say she was going to the drugstore and wanted to know if mum needed anything.  I replied in the affirmative and she came by with the supplies.  Problem solved.  Today, the universe was working in my favor again.  I decided this morning to go the park, thinking I would do a few laps and come home.  I got there to discover that the workout area was now officially open (thank you Governor Newsom and Mayor Garcetti) and I finally got a chance to workout.  It gets better.  I opted to pass on going to a doctor appointment with mum and the chatty carer to take care of some business for mum.  After nearly loosing my mind being put on eternal hold, I got through and took care of everything.  I even had time to make a hair appointment--really overjoyed about that.  So, yes, everything fell my way today.  Definitely calls for a celebration.  Ice cream anyone?
