Same difference

Hello Everyone:

Did I ever mention how much I hate looking for work. It's almost as bad as going on a date. I always use the date analogy when it comes to job hunting because it almost the same thing.  The first interview is like a first date: meeting someone for the first time, getting to know each, see if we're a match.  Ugh, it's so draining on the psyche. At least with a date, if you don't like the person, there's no real disappointment. You just move on to the next person or decide you're better off staying single. Staying unemployed is not an option. I mean you could be one of those people who would rather collect unemployment than get off the dole. I'd rather be off the dole. The big issue for me is transportation. I can't afford a car and taking a two-hour one way bus ride to work doesn't work for me.  So my options are limited. Sometimes I don't know what to do. One positive thing, I posted my resume on the California Community College Registry. I did it on a whim. I checked off that I'm mostly interested in staff positions but I also ticked off the box about receiving information on teaching internships. I might as well put that masters degree to use. In the meantime, back to dating, I mean looking for work. Same difference.
