Hello Everyone:
A quick one this evening because the eyelids are rapidly heading south. A productive day on the blogosphere. I posted a piece on making cities more inclusive. Fascinating and wide ranging subject that has no one-size fits all solution. It's funny, as I was typing away, I was listening to a NPR story about the fiftieth anniversary of a civil rights march in Chicago. One of the people interviewed was the Reverand Jesse Jackson. He said something that made absolute perfect sense that they were protesting to end slum conditions in schools, healthcare, housing, in every facet of daily life. This still rings true today. It's not going to magically disappear with the next president but he or she can lay lay the foundation. I have more hope that it'll be she not he. In other news, still have things to do before the trip but I'm too tired to think about it right now. The minion was getting on my nerves today with his phone addiction. He sat, for four hours, on the sofa fiddling with mom's phone. That's on top of all the other time he's spent doing the same thing. It practically takes an act of divine intervention to get him off the sofa. Good thing he has a play date tomorrow. I'm not letting him near my infinitely superior phone. More later.
