Weather Report

Hello Everyone:

It seems El Niño has finally made an appearance, deciding to stay for at least the week. Well, today the small boy child briefly popped in before giving way to a sunny afternoon. Winter has finally arrived in full force. Actually, winter showed already but the real rain has yet come. By real rain, I mean the steady kind that lasts for a day or two.  Well, maybe not.  I can't being stuck in the house or having schelp my stuff in the pouring rain. Who does like any of that?  I guess if you're used to perpetually bad weather, you learn adapt. That's the problem with living in a warmer climate, you get used to mild winter weather. Rain is one thing but snow is a real novelty. The funny thing, I like colder climates. Not Arctic-like cold but cold enough so that I get a real sense of autumn and winter. I like places with seasons, not warm and warmer or cold and frozen. Cities like San Francisco or New York would be my ideal places. For now, I just bundle up accordingly to go out. I figure, you can't stay indoors all the time. If you have to go out to work, school, or run an errand, you dress accordingly.  The one thing I absolutely hate about wet weather is getting wet. You know, accidentally stepping in puddles, getting rained on, or stepping in mud. I don't think anyone like that. I'd be a real riot in the UK with its eternally gray weather.  However, I take the weather as it comes, not like mom who obsesses about the weather. It's not like I can control it. Too far above my pay grade.
