Job Opportunity

Hello Everyone:

A good Monday for me. A good Monday for me means a nicely written post on a timely subject and a phone call from the Brit BF. That last part was a bonus. Always great to talk to him. An interesting job opportunity landed in my inbox today. It's with the Los Angeles Planning Department Office of Historic Resources. This is the office in charge of historic preservation issues in L.A. It's an entry-level job and the pay range is great. The only competition I'd have is from other preservation people. The job sounds good but I don't know if I really want to go through the process of filling out a form that asks all sorts highly intimate questions. Okay, maybe not quite so intimate but seems like these government job applications want to know your everything about you including your dress size. I have a little time to decide because the information goes live on December 4th. The application process is a minor issue compared to the question of whether or not I really want this job or not. Yes, I need some actual work but I really like spending time writing and would love to have a job that affords me time to write. On the other hand. I have  nothing to lose. What's the worst that could happen, rejection? Nothing new there. Still, it would be worth looking into and it might be really good. I'll check it out.
