Hello Everyone:
A productive day for yours truly. I got the laundry and some chores done around the house today then headed over to the Department of Motor Vehicles to finally renew my license. I swear that place is what Dante envisioned when wrote about Purgatory. Stand in this line, fill out this form, oops you made a mistake fill it out again, give us money. Seriously, that is the DMV. So glad I'm done with them for a while. At least the clerk who assisted me was nice and the process was fast. With that out of the way, I went to get coffee and run a couple of errands. I had a nice phone chat with the Brit BF who shared with me some good news. He's due to get a settlement from this bank, sometime in the future. This is good because it means he'll be able to send me a ticket to come visit him. That would be so cool. About the only kink in the plans would be if I get a real job. I'm just more excited about a new adventure. That was the highlight of an otherwise mundane day. The other good part of the day was mom giving me flowers and a gift card for my birthday. I used the card to buy myself a nice pair of earrings. The first pair I bought myself in a longtime. She's usually quite generous around my birthday. Much too generous if you ask me. I mean, I would've just been happy with the cupcakes in the freezer. I don't like putting anyone out. Sis emailed me today about a birthday lunch, instead of dinner. It would be just mom, sis, and I. Why is doing this? Why can't she take a hint that I'm not interested in doing anything for my birthday. Too much fuss has already been about it. I can't wait until the day passes. I sound testy, don't I? I just have no more enthusiasm for any celebration. Anyway, let's hope the weekend is quiet.
