Hello Everyone:
I'm so tired right now. Always when I do the grocery shopping or housework, I'm so tired afterword. Not that tired that I can't sit and write, just tired enough that I fly off the handle over stupid stuff like my phone dropping on the floor and my groceries spilling out. Grocery shopping and housework are just draining activities. I like to grocery shop and do laundry. I just don't like doing the everything else. Never have and never will. When I was at San Jose State, on my first grad school tour of duty, I was part of a car captive audience listening to some woman carry on about how she does her own housework while the other women in her neighborhood rely on housekeepers. With a real sense of pride, she boasted how she found cleaning her own toilet a humbling thing. Really? I find doing my own housework a real drag on my time and would prefer to pass it off to someone else. Lack of funds make it necessary for me to do my own housework. By the time I'm done, I not in the best mood. Grocery shopping is another story. I like to shop and prepare my own food, I just find the act of going to the market a bit time consuming, especially when I have to deal with an annoying "granny cart." I use the cart to carry the groceries home and the one have is out of alignment. The alternative is carry the groceries myself and I have done that but my back and arms are sore afterward. The upside of it is that the grocery store is close by so I can walk over. Still draining and not conducive to a good mood. As I've said time and time again, I can't fake a good mood. I know the old saying, "fake it until you make it," I just don't buy it. Little stuff can put me in a temporary bad mood. I keep telling myself that one day I'll be able to afford a char to come and clean my house. As for the act of coming and going to the grocery store, I'm waiting for the day when my favorite places offer a concierge service. I can order in advance then pick up and pay for my things. Ah yes, that would be nice. Are you listening Trader Joe's, Ralph's, and Whole Foods?
