Excited To Be Seeing Old Friends

Hello Everyone:

If you go to historicpca.blogspot.com and read the post titled "Sunday Quickie," you read about my thoughts for the weekend.  In case you don't get over there, basically I once again told mom that I was bored stiff with her company.  She knows it and understands but there's not a whole lot that either one of us can do about it.  She keeps threatening to invite her friends over but never does it.  Anyway, why would I care if mom and her bffs got together for a meal, I have nothing to say to any of them.  Mom keeps telling me I can invite whoever I want over but I don't see the point since most of my friends are not Jewish and mom has subtly hint that they may not be welcomed.  Thanks mom.

In happier news, one of my long-lost friends is paying me visit next week.  I'm really looking forward to seeing them.  I met the wife half of the couple at Springsteen concert when circumstance and Ticketmaster put next to each other.  Over the years we corresponded and visited each other.  They live in Arizona and I live in California.  We lost touch several years and this past summer, thanks to Facebook, we reconnected.  Both my friend and I had some good times.  The most memorable was getting THIS CLOSE to former Beatle Ringo Starr.  True story.  My friend wanted to see one of the guitar players from Springsteen's band do a solo show at The Roxy in West Hollywood.  So I got the tickets and off we went.  During the encore, Ringo Starr came on stage for a couple of songs.  We were about ten feet away.  Can you imagine being THAT CLOSE to an actual Beatle.  I hadn't thought about it until recently when I mentioned it to the bf and during the Grammys while I was watching Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr perform "Queenie Eye."  I can't wait to see them and meet their daughters. We're making plans to meet nearby at the Farmer's Market.  I let you all know how the reunion went.  Of course there will be pictures.  Bite me Ellen De Generes.

The bf came over for impromptu visit Saturday night.  That was really nice.  Let's just say he knows how to make me happy.  I love him.
