The Library

Hello Everyone: It was a mostly quiet Monday. I say mostly quiet because the internet was out in my area and I had to go to the library to finish a post. I though I could hot spot it at home but that only lasted for a short time. I finally packed up my laptop and headed to the library. It's the first time I've been inside a library since before COVID. Almost nothing has changed except for the plexiglass barriers. There's a certain comfort in the familiar. People still float in and out. The librarians and clerks are still there to help. All good. Now I'm wondering what happened to my library card. I think it's at home and I'm sure if it's still good. I haven't used it in who knows when. I'll have to see about it. If it's still good, I can starting checking out books to read at home and on the bus. Now that I think about it, I should really go to the library more often to work. Yes, I have WiFi at home but sometimes I just need to be around other peple. When the PLB Business Center was fully operational, I could go there and spend whole afternoons doing whatever I needed to do on my laptop. I got to know people and we became a little community. That's where I met the Brit BF. COVID killed that vibe. I think slowly but surely, the Business Center will come back to life. Right now, the Business Center has a limited schedule and I work so I can't always get there. The library can be a nice place quiet place to work. There the usual assortment of characters but that's anywhere. Anyway, I need to go home and make dinner. Tomorrow it's back to work.
