Extra Hours

Hello Everyone: After a week's worth of extra hours, the department store scheduler gifted me with a couple of days off. I really needed the time off because I was so brain dead by the time I got home on Saturday. I picked up the extra hours because one person left to take another job and another person was on vacation. As exhausting as it was, I was grateful for the extra hours because it meant a bigger paycheck. That fatter paycheck made it possible for me to go to the nice salon near my house for a fresh haircut and pick up a few things at the drugstore. I sort of planned to treat myself to dinner out but I was too tired to put on some clothes and walk over to the place I planned to go. Just to give an indication as to how tired I was, my alarm went off at its usual time this morning and I shut off, I'll just sleep in an extra hour. By the time I finally woke up, it was nearly ten. That's how tired I was. In between the long hours, I did manage to get some cooking, baking, laundry, and housework done, an accomplishment by itself. This coming week I have a lighter schedule but I still have to work weekends. Oh well, that's the job I have right now. Hopefully soon I'll he in a better work situation that doesn't require weekends.
