Enjoyable Weekend

Hello Everyone: I had a very pleasant weekend, mainly because I didn't have to work. I did get a text from the department store about coming in on Friday but I texted back saying I wasn't availanle, which was true. The text irritated me but, fortunately, I was mid-workout so I took it all out on the machines. Pretty healthy way to vent, don't you think? An acquaintence of mine reminded me that the department store doesn't own me, and sometimes, I have to prioritize myself. Normally I wouldn't have an issue about coming in but it was my day off and I had a bunch of things to. Also, the reason for the text annoyed me. It was a co-worker's last week and she didn't even bother to show up. Monday she called in sick so I agreed to come in early. I was on the schedule anywau and the two extra hours paid for a big box store purchase. I think the rest of the week was a case of short timer's disease. Regardless, I thought it was unprofessional to blow off your last week. Whatever. At least Saturday and Sunday were totally enjoyable. I spent the weekend with Sis and the family. I hadn't seen them since I started working so I was really looking forward to seeing everyone. Okay I was really looking forward to the booze. I wasn't disaappinted. The food and company were good. I didn't realize how much I missed them. This coming weekend I do have to work but won't miss them because Sis'll be out of town. Oh well back to the grind.
