All Good

Hello Everyone: More good news to report, I finally received the grocery assistance card in the mail. Yay, so happy about that because it seemed like it was never going to come. The saga began at the end of October when I applied and was approved for grocery assistance from the county. I needed it at the time because I had just left my job and had no real prospects in sight. I was assured that I'd receive the card in a few weeks. The few weeks later turned into two months and longer. I was getting fed up and anxious with everyone at the county, whose only solution was either call or come in. Both a waste of time. I finally had enough of it and wrote my state representative about it. Fortunately, I got an immediate reply from a wonderfully helpful person in his office who forwarded my email to a contact of her's in the county supervisor's office. The contact put me in touch with the right person who sent out my card right away. Needless to say I was ecstatic when I opened the envelop. I set up the PIN and took it to the grocery store. The incredible thing is that it took an angrily worded email to my state representative in order to get the card. Even slightly ironic, is that I just got hired by a local department store yesterday and may soon be able to afford my groceries. All good. I feel very grateful to the universe for making this happen. I still have three more wishes I'd like granted but, for now, I'm happy. I really am starting to believe that things will turn around for me. I've had enough struggle and now I want some sense of stability. I'm looking forward to starting my job and finally being able to move forward with the things I want to do. The only thing I ask of the universe is please let me continue in this positive direction. I'm also proud of the steps I'm taking to make the good things happen. Slowly but surely I will get to the place where I can finally and truly relax. For today, all is good.
