Talk To Me
Hello Everyone:
The phone interview didn't go on as scheduled. Apparently the person I was supposed to speak with was out of the office and forgot she accepted an invitation to talk. I only found this out after I emailed the first recruiter. Sarcasm alert: I just so love the way the healthcare staffing agency and the new recruiter are about communications. Let's just say I let it be known that the lack of communications was not appreciated. I also let it be known that I'm still willing to interview for the job when the person comes back to the office. That settled I went about my day. It was really annoying to spend a half hour waiting for this person to call only to find out that she (it is a she) was out of the office and forgot about the call. Even more annoying was not knowing this before I went ahead and agreed to the appointment. The new recruiter emailed me to say that he (it is a he) knew that the person was going to be out of the office but did sent the invitation and she did accept it. Ok if that was the case, then why didn't someone get back to me about it. I would've been happy to reschedule the call when the person was back in the office. Yes, it's upsetting but nowhere near the point where I want blow off the opportunity especially since the school hasn't gotten back and I just applied for a career-type job. This opportunity with the healthcare staffing agency looks like a good one and definitely ticks off all the right boxes for me. I'd just like to start working already. I just have to keep going with this because I believe I'll get what I want, the job. As they say persistence pays.
