Looking Forward To The Future

Hello Everyone: Another blustery and cold day for Yours Truly. It's gotten to the point where I used the COVID masks to keep my face warm. I was chatting with the Brit BF today and he's really psyched about his Zoom meeting, on Monday, with the creative development person. He should be really excited about it because it's a very big deal for him. This meeting could determine whether he gets signed to his long hoped for development deal. I think he's got a great chance because his pitch is both educational and appealing to children. His relationship with the studio executive also helps. I feel a sense of confidence that he will be successful he has all the right qualities. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about how it would affect me. Signing a development deal would mean his return and us living as de facto, soon fact, husband and wife. It would definitely be a real adjustment on both our parts after living apart for so long but I think we can handle it. We're both on the same page as far as what we want for the future so that's a good thing. Also, our bond is strong enough that we can have certain conversations (i.e. finances) without getting upset. We both have our separate and couple priorities that can be constructively reconciled. Beyond that, there are the material benefits like a nicer place to live with steady heat during the cold months. Mostly it would mean for me not having to work so hard and having more time to devote to my interests. I'd be quite happy if we were able to move into a slightly nicer place and afford cleaning help on a weekly basis. I'd still want to work for my own piece of mind but, maybe, just for the sheer enjoyment of having a job. Yes, I like to work. I'll have some inkling about how the meeting went on Monday afternoon, after the meeting is over. I really hope it goes the way he wants it to go.
