Something To Consider

Hello Everyone: I'm in the middle of what's supposed to be a three day weekend. It's Presidents Day weekend and Valentines Day. However, since the pandemic set in, it's been one long three day weekend. My sense of time has gone completely out the window. I have a feeling I'm not the only one. Anyway, I've been considering appying for a job at a school I used to work. The pay, hours, and benefits wod make it worth my time but the problem is the people. Specifically, certain people--a group of influencer-parents, teachers, and administrators--make it an unpleasant place to work. The school is an affluent religious private school that I went to when it first started out. My family has a little bit of a history with it but we were definitely not influencers. Mum was a teacher there, Sis and I went to school. After university, I worked as an assistant at the school until I went to grad school. There were some moments but, mostly, it was stressful. There were students that were total spoiled brats, parents who thought they knew more about teaching than the teachers, teachers who had sway with the administration, and administrators who were queen bees. One particular I ended up not liking, the head of the primary school division. She's two-faced. She's very nice and supportive to your face but mean behind your back. I googled the school and she's still there. I've also heard that teachers and assistants have been fired for rubbish reasons like they don't smile enough. Like, what is that. Mum told me that they refused to hire a well qualified teacher because she was a little person. If true that would've been grounds for legal action. I'm surprised they haven't been sued for wrongful termination by now. Or, maybe they but settled out of court. I need to think about it before I make any decision.
