Good Job Lead

Hello Everyone: Yesterday a great job prospect landed in my inbox. It's a teacher's assistant job at one of the local religious school, not too far from my house. It's a fulltime job that starts early and, as usual, I started worrying about getting there on time, my own pursuits, and a having some life. However, I decided that why don't I just submit my resume and application. One of two things could happen: I get the job or not. Also, I think if mention that I'm planning to pursue teaching as a career, they might be willing to accommodate me. That wouldn't be a lie just to the person in charge to accommodate my life. What would I like to teach? The natural affinity is history, art and anything else. Really what I'm thinking is historic preservation. I figure there has to be lesson plans and syllabi available for high school students. I would prefer to teach high school because I think I can do more with that group than with younger students. I can assign homework and projects that are more challenging for them. I have no illusions about eager young minds waiting for me to impart great knowledge. Spending time trying to the attention of know-it-all nine and ten year olds rid me of that notion. My point for considering this or similar job is to get some experience. Anyway, one thing at a time. The first step is getting a job and finding funds for the credentialling exam. Then we can set the next goal, taking and passing the exam. Anyway, dinner time.
