Bureaucracy
Hello Everyone:
A very quiet and cool start to the week. I filled out this health insurance form that needs to be submitted very soon. It's from the county social services office so it already annoys me. There's link I can go to fill it out, assuming their website doesn't suck as usual. The thing about the county social services office is they're never there when you really need them, there when you don't and get in your business. Yes, they have a job to do and they should do it more efficiently. For example, for some reason unknown to anyone, they don't do email. I can't get advance emails about phone appointments or requests for documents and I can't send anyone an email. Privacy issue aside, that's so 1990s, early 2000s. I'm surprised they still don't ask for faxes, not like I would know how to send a fax. I don't even make so phone calls unless I have to. That's another thing, in order to communicate with county, I have to actually call them. Last time I did, I was on hold for about a half-hour and fortunately the person I spoke to was quite helpful. Anyway, that's just something to be dealt with. Other things to be dealt with is the unemployment office. Thanks to the pandemic, they're hopeless behind in processing new claims. At the rate they're going, I'll have a job before they get around to me. That would be nice. That would also mean I could get off the charity health insurence I'm on now and get real health and dental benefits. It's just the bureaucracy that I hate the most. It's like there are so many obstacles in the way of someone accessing a system, supported by tax dollars, that it seem pointless. I really wish whoever is in charge would make it easier and faster. Anyway, I need to eat I'm getting a little dizzy.
