Public Transportation
Hello Everyone:
My allergies were acting up again today. All the wind blew pollen and everything else all over the place, irritating my allergies. I have a slight sore throat, watery eyes, and feel achy. It sounds like some of the symptoms for COVID or cold or flu. When my allergies act up, I should walk around with a sign: "I have allergies, not COVID." Anyway, the great job search continues. The hard part is being patient. I have an application in to one school that hasn't gotten back to me. The other part is finding a school that's nearby so I don't have to stress about getting to work on time. I hate doing that. Part of the problem is that I don't have a functional car, and I can't afford a car, so it makes commuting anywhere even more difficult. The free bus rides are great but they won't last forever. Eventually I will have to take some refresher driving lessons and get back behind the wheel. To be honest, I don't have an issue with public transportation to begin with. It has its good points and sometimes is a better option than a car. From my own experience, I found that taking a bus to Downtown Los Angeles is a better choice than a car because I don't have to deal with limited to non-existent parking options. I just hate having to block out the extra time but we do what we must. I think eventually I'll get back into driving around but until then, I have to use what's available. Such is life.
