The Phone Stalker
Hello Everyone:
A relatively nice day today although I found myself getting irritated by mum and chatty carer. Mum was being extremely impatient today about some medicine the chatty carer ordered for her last Wednesday. Yes, she needs it but it's not like diabetes medicine, where if she doesn't take it she'll end up in the hospital. We tried to explain to her that the pharmacies are pretty busy right now and her is being processed as it comes up. Not good enough, she turned into phone stalker, repeatedly calling the pharmacy and my sister. Why did she call Sis? First, mum thinks Sis has magic powers to have her order delivered at warp speed. Second, to ask her to pick it up. Knowing my sister, most of the time she doesn't consider mum's phone calls a high priority unless it's genuinely something important. I'm the same way. A request to pick up a prescription doesn't rank high on our call list. Mum is the kind of person who'll send a text then call to find out if the receiver got it. If the receiver doesn't see it right away, she'll call and text repeatedly or try to get someone else to do it, thinking said person will get a quicker response. As I said, mum's a phone stalker. I've even thought about blocking her messages but can't do it. She's not that bad, yet. Anyway, the only non-irritating thing about today was following up on a couple good job opportunities. The local planning and design firm looks like a good one and fun fact: they're based in Nairobi and have an office in Stockholm. Cool. I'm up for a company get-together in Kenya. The Oscars Museum is in process and I have another outreach opportunity with Disney. I do love Disneyland. Ok dinner time.
