Hello Everyone:
I'm in a weird blogging mood. My attention span is shorter than usual and it's a struggle to get a single post out. I think it's just a phase I'm going through and there's no point in trying to fight it. The big problem is the lack of non-virus-related subjects to blog about. It seems that everything I read about is all the latest breakthroughs, the president's daily tantrums on Twitter, and ordinary people being idiots. Can't someone write about the elections other than the pros and cons of voting by mail? Even the British royal family looks more interesting than some of what's in the news. Really. The latest medical and scientific breakthroughs are interesting reads because it means one step closer to finding a treatment and a vaccine. Science works. Speaking of the virus, the BIL finally came home today after two month in the hospital. Yay. He doesn't look too worse for wear, maybe a bit shaggier than last time I saw him. Sis texted me a picture of him sitting out in front of his house holding one of the grandbabies with my niece, her boy-husband, and young teen nephew in the background. I don't if it was intentional or accidental but they all seem to be wearing the same color shirt. Honestly, I missed the big guy. Mostly, I'm happy he's recovering from the virus. He still has a long recuperative period ahead of him. Fortunately he has about two years' worth of accumulated vacation time and he can work from home so he doesn't have to rush back to the office. All good
