Job Searching In Self Isolation
Hello Everyone:
I treated myself to a very nice run this morning. Instead of running in the park, I decided to run through the area just to see some different scenery. Thank goodness I did that because doing endless laps around the park can be monotonous. Another good thing I did for myself today was apply for a job at a local museum. I saw the posting this morning on LinkedIn and it looked like something I can do. The best part is the museum is within walking distance. We'll see what happens. The whole job search thing has definitely taken on a new dynamic during mandatory self isolation. With everyone, who can or has to, working at home, I'm not sure if anyone from personnel reviews the applications. I'm sure, if necessary, someone can schedule a video interview. In the meantime, I decided to blog about art. I just posted something on American painter Edward Hopper and how his work captures the current state of things. Together yet apart. Pretty good description for self isolation. One result of self isolation is that it's made me appreciate the company of others. Being around mum and her nannies all day is making me a little nuts. I can only tune them out for so long. Anyway, I need to eat.
