What A Concept

Hello Everyone:

Today was a lot fun, if you're an election nerd like me.  It was primary day, Super Tuesday, and I went to my polling place and cast my vote.  One of the choices I had to make was the Democratic nominee for president.  Even though my candidate has no realistic chance of winning, I voted for the lone remaining viable female candidate, Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.  I did it more as a show of support for women candidates, especially after blogged about it.  Eventually, I plan to honor a personal pledge to "Vote blue no matter who."  The atmosphere at my polling place was pretty chill.  The weather was great and I just let the joy of the moment wash over me.  Joy, what a concept.  I haven't felt any sense of joy in a long while.  Get this, I had to pull out a pair of shorts for my morning run.  I haven't done that since, I don't know, September maybe?  Another thing that feels great is pushing mum to interact more with the carer.  I cannot emphasize to her enough that it's important for her to do that because the carer is here for her, not me.  Her condition seems to slowly be improving each day.  That also makes me happy and frees me up to pursue other, more constructive things, like apply for a museum job yesterday.  It's nice job, one that pays well enough and provides benefits.  I feel like there's space opening up for me to move out from my current state of existence.
