Chill Vibe
Hello Everyone:
Happy socially distant Monday to you. The rain makes its easier to stay at home although, it didn't rain this morning so I went out for a run. Have not heard if the BIL tested positive or negative for COVID- Now that everything is, more or less, closed, the city has taken on a really chill vibe. Gone is the mad rush and the noise, instead there's a sort of hush that you would associate with a holiday. I still hear some traffic outside my window and see people out walking but it's not as frantic as usual. Maybe that's a good thing. In the meantime, I'm enjoying it. I've been chatting with people and on the social media, exchanging thoughts on the near lock down. Who knows how long it'll last or if this disease will go away soon but I just try to carry on the best I can. Part of that includes grocery shopping. Last week's experience was pretty chill and let's hope it stays that way. Busier than usual is one thing but manic is quite another. The Brit BF sent me pictures of two women getting into a fist fight over bathroom tissue and a friend from school sent me a picture of near empty dried pasta shelves. Seriously people, enough with the panic purchases. The food is not going to run out any time soon and you're taking food and necessary supplies away from the elderly and people with chronic conditions. One thing I want to find out is if my hair salon is open for business. It's never that busy like the last place I went to and I usually can get an appointment when I need it. Anyway, it's just one day at a time.
