Over It

Hello Everyone:

It’s social distant Sunday and I’m over it.  I’m so over the whole self isolation/social distance thing that I’m ready to hug a random stranger. Friday I got to the point where I flipped off someone while waiting in line to get into the grocery store.  In all fairness she had it coming.  I like the quiet and everything but there are better ways to enjoy it. Grocery shopping has become an adventure with the line and not finding exactly what I need. I had mostly had luck filling my grocery list but had substitute for other things because those MF-ing hoarders. You know, eventually this will pass and the hoarders will be the ones stuck with a lifetime supply of spoiling perishable food. Oh well, c’est la vie.  Wednesday we had a bit of a carer situation. The BIL tested posted for COVID-19 and has been in the hospital for about a week. The good news is he’s improving and the prognosis is optimistic. The bad news is the carer panicked because the BIL stopped about two weeks, before he got sick, and decided to take some time off to self isolate and get tested. To make matters worse, she told the visiting nurse who reported it to his agency and stopped coming to check on mum. I’m all for safe not sorry but the carer was more than than six feet away from the BIL and the visiting nurse wasn’t in the house. The carer also takes the bus everyday and the nurse has other patients. Needless to say I was not thrilled about the prospect of being home alone with mum. Fortunately that didn’t happen because the agency Sis uses for the carer came through with an excellent substitute. The visiting nurse is an idiot. Since he abandoned his patient, mum’s foot sores started to get worse.  Hopefully that situation will be dealt with tomorrow. On top of all that, my diva niece, her boy husband and babies are arriving from Israel tomorrow morning. They shouldn’t be in quarantine, they should be in the psych ward. People are idiots. I just may stay in self isolation after this all over to avoid the idiots.
