Catch Up

Hello Everyone:

I just realized the last time I posted something was a week ago. Wow, had to believe. Let's catch up. Happy to report that I am finally out of "radiator hell."  On Wednesday PLB Maintenance came to pick up the noisy heat generating de-humidifier and shop vac that was preventing me from getting a good night's sleep. By Wednesday I was a total zombie, couldn't even think straight. I think I more than made up for the lack of sleep over the weekend. No sooner was that out of the way, it started raining, almost non-stop. This knocked the network servicing my house, beginning on Thursday.  At first I thought it was the electricians who have been updating the power grid in my building but no.  The storms knocked out cell towers in my area, leaving me with little or no service. The mobile phone company said everything should be back to normal within a day or two. In the meantime, I have to grab the WiFi wherever I can, like right now. I found myself standing in the middle of the cereal aisle today, using the store WiFi to check into my world. All was not angst. I did have quite an exciting moment yesterday. About a week and half ago, the director of my grad program emailed me, asking me to send a copy of a paper I did about eight years ago. She didn't say what it was for but someone with intial J. was asking about it. I found the paper and planned to send it out today.  However, yesterday morning I read an article that the police department and university are investigating the case of missing furniture from a house the school owns. My paper was a condition assessment of the furniture.  Now it all made sense and I quickly emailed it out and promised full cooperation before my run. Yay, my first case, sort of. If it helps solve the crime great. I'll definitely be following the story.  I love this stuff. It's what gets me excited about art and architecture history. So that's it for now. It seems I'm getting caught up with writing and life. Now dinner
