Forgettable

Hello Everyone:

The Minion’s bar mitzva is done and dusted; quickly forgotten. It was a pretty by-the-book affair. Nothing worth getting excited over. It just lacked any sort of personality and charm. It really could’ve been anyone’s bar mitzva, that’s how forgettable it was.  Weddings, bar/bat mitzva, and so on should have reflect who the honoree is. I saw nothing of the minion in any of. Granted his too young to care about any of it but his parents didn’t seem to take him into consideration. They went for whatever was the least expensive and ticked off a box. Boring. I also question sis and niece’s dress choice. They chose dresses that did not flatter them at all. The dresses made them look fatter. Then there was the faux eyelashes. I get they didn’t want to fuss with mascara but the faux lashes were distracting and they would’ve been better off with the right mascara. I did like the manicures. The cater messed up the food. Someone forgot to plug in warming trays and put out enough non-alcoholic beverages.  Nothing like cold food on a damp day to make for a satisfying meal. You would think that for a slightly formal meal, the cater would lay out real dishes, silverware, and glasses, right?  No paper and plastic. Obviously too lazy to put dishes in the dishwasher. As I said, totally forgettable. I was pretty happy to go home, get comfortable, and dive into my books.  Thank goodness that’s over and done with.  Nothing major for a while.
