No Happy Medium

Hello Everyone:

A quiet start to the week, sort of.  The power and hot water was out for most of the morning.  Electricians have been working in the building and apparently needed to shut off the power to do their work.  This also affected the hot water so I had a lukewarm shower.  The rest of the day was fairly status quo.  I spent the afternoon working on my resume and beginning a draft of a cover letter.  I needed to do that so I can finally get back to the serious business of looking for a job.  Mum is feeling better today but she has to make lifestyle changes.  The biggest thing is just accept the fact that some days are going to be better than others.  She also really needs to regularly clean her room.  It's not something I should do because I have no business in her room accept to put away laundry.  I suggested she hire someone to do the job.  I can't expect her to dust, vacuum, and do her bathroom by herself.  Ridiculous.   Another thing she needs to do is stop blasting the radiator.  During the winter, mum has this annoying habit of blasting the radiator to the point where it's unbearably hot.  She may feel comfortable but the apartment gets so stifling hot.  Apparently, the toasty temperature is messing with her respiratory system.  It gives me a headache.  The exact opposite happens in the summer time, when she blasts the air conditioner.  There's no happy medium.  Hopefully after the doctor told her to make some lifestyle changes, she'll follow through.  Not likely but one can hope
