Finally a real break in the mum phone drama. I've been tracking the progress of a battery on order from our mobile phone carrier. Mum's got a semi-smartphone that still requires a battery. It was originally supposed to come a week ago but there was some sort of delay. Anyway, a few angry phone calls later, the battery will be delivered tomorrow. Thank goodness. I'm getting so annoyed with mum constantly borrowing my phone. I've tried to be accommodating but I've reached my breaking point. I cannot wait for that battery to get here and be installed. The funny thing is mum was joking yesterday that she just might get an iPhone after all. Right, mum with an iPhone. Mum has enough fits with her current android-based phone. Of course, once the new battery is installed, mum will still find something wrong, real or imagined. Whatever, I still my eye on an iPhone 8 and have been dropping hints to the Sometime BF about a possible birthday present. He got a good laugh out of that one. Speaking of the Sometime BF, he's doing a family thing this weekend so I won't see him over the weekend. Good time to catch up on some reading and sleep. Would you believe mum suggested that she get me a double bed. Mum has developed a keen interest in getting a new bed for herself. She floated the idea of getting me a double bed because the Sometime BF has become a frequent overnight visitor and she's cool about the two of us sleeping in the same room. That would make it more comfortable for me. Her thought is take my bed or buy two beds one for me and one for her. We'll see if that happens. In the meantime, the phone battery drama is nearing its conclusion and I am nearing dinner.
