The BF and The Nephews

Hello Everyone:

The Brit BF got his holiday present today.  I know this because he sent me a selfie wearing the beanie I got him to go with the scarf.  He looks quite stylish.  I spoke with him on the phone a few hours ago and I'm still smiling just thinking about.  We have to find a way to be together, either here or there.

In other news, my teenage nephew went snowboarding today with his friends from school.  One of his friends's mom ended up taking them for the day.  Fortunately she's a doctor so in case someone gets hurt (cough, the nephew) she render first aid.  Sis, the teenage niece, and the minion drove down to Long Beach for the afternoon.  I told mom she should've gone with them but she wasn't up for it. I haven't been down to Long Beach in ages.  I did my undergrad degree work at California State University, Long Beach (Go Beach) in Art History.  I can't wait to hear about the teenage nephew's adventures in snowboarding.  More to the point, I'm curious to find out if he broke a bone or injured himself some other way.  It's par for the course for him.  After all, he did break his nose playing basketball (he got elbowed) and broke his leg last year skateboarding, training for an aborted snowboard trip.  At least the minion and teenage niece are more careful.

In the meantime, I still haven't heard back from the City Planning Department.  I probably won't hear anything until January.  However, I really need to attend to a few things and now is the time when I take care of any lingering matters like cleaning up my desktop.  It's gotten pretty messy and disorganized.  I can't function in clutter so I do need to clean it up.  Also, I'm finally getting around to taking care of my passport.  I spoke with a PLB denizen who used to work for the State Department and asked him to send me some information.  So that's that for the day.
