Another Monday morning and all is quiet. This is good, no person generated drama, just quiet. I found out over the weekend that I'm going to be losing my work space. PLB management has decided to update the on-site gym, great. Along with the new equipment, PLB and Meridian, the people that run the gym, are going to convert the conference room into a spinning class and the big room into a yoga/group exercise studio. Great, where are people supposed to work? I suppose I could go to the library or the nearest coffee place. I mentioned this to the new guy and he's not happy about it, although he crack wise about it, suggesting a strip bar and casino as revenue generating source. He went on to mention something about setting up an L.A office for his animation work, alluding to the idea that I could come in and use it. It would be nice to have a set place to work, preferably nearby. Anyway, it's speculative and you all know how I feel about that, I don't give in to speculation.
Summer vacation is starting to wind down. The Minion's day camp is almost over for the year and the other chicks are back in the nest. This means school will be starting for them soon. This going to sound super nerdy but I used to look forward to going back to school. If anything, it meant having something useful to do during th day. I still love checking out all the back to school supplies and clothes. To me, starting the fall semester was a little like New Year's Day more so than any other concept of it. The niece and nephew aren't thrilled about starting school, too bad. It also means no more Minion in the morning antics. I always miss that. Reporting on his shenanigans is always fun and it keeps my friends entertained. That's important.
