Excited About A Job Application??

Hello Everyone:

I just had an exciting moment applying for a job.  That sounded strange, me excited about applying for a job.  The job is a specialist with the East Asian Language and Cultures program at USC.  Hmm let me think about that one for a minute.  I'm not sure writing my thesis about Japan and tutoring Chinese and South Korean students in their English conversational skills lets me get a pedicured toe in the door. LOL.  I'm even excited writing all this down.  So excited that my fingers are literally flying across the keyboard.  Really bizarre.  Maybe this is a good sign?  Or maybe I'm setting myself up for more disappointment.  At this point I reckon that I can only get one of two answers: yes or no.  I would like a yes finally or at least an invitation to meet with someone in the EALC.  That would be nice.  At least this time I can make my over to USC with the bus, not go through the whole disaster of trying to rent a car again.  Speaking of which, I could really use a new car right about now.  In other news, yesterday I finally cashed that windfall check and just about fainted from holding all that money.  The next step is figuring out how to pay off the smaller debts before tackling the bigger ones and rebuilding my credit history.  My ultimate goal, in this regard, is to be able to buy a new car and rent an apartment.  I'm hoping I can finally connect with some meaningful employment that will put on the road to financial stability.  Maybe it'll be this one.  I'll keep you posted.
