Hello Everyone:

For about a minute I was hating technology.  I have to deal with exceptionally slow servers which makes getting the information I need all the more frustrating.  I suppose it's just one of the annoyances of life in the digital age.  Anyway, how's your day going or how did it go?  In general my Tuesday is off to a good start.  No crisis or current events impinging on my morning.  That's always nice.  Anyway, I have a family thing coming on Sunday, the teenage nephew is graduating Middle School and it's his birthday.  I know Middle School graduation, big freakin' whop.  Since it's his birthday, his mom and dad are letting pick what restaurant he wants to go to.  So the little snot nosed brat picks some place expensive.  Like graduating from Middle School and turning fourteen is really that important.  After the the really shoddy way "the family" treated my graduation from Grad School, I have half a mind to boycott the whole thing.  Maybe if the bf can't come I'll seriously consider it.  I know it sounds petty and childish.  All I really wanted for my graduation last year was for the niece and nephews to attend and a celebratory brunch.  Simple right?  No, "the powers that be" I.e. mom and sis decided that it was too inconvenient and thought it would be better to collapse it into the little turd's birthday (bar mitzvah) weekend.  What a crock.  I work my arse off to get a master's degree and it isn't even worthy of serious recognition.  Some snot nosed spoiled brat finishes Middle School and gets a taken out to a nice place for his birthday.  Arseholes all of them
