A Sunday

Hello Everyone:

I see from the number of pageviews that we've been taking the weekend off.  That's fine, you need a break from my constant ranting and raving.  Anyway, my weekend has been going pretty decently.  On Friday, I got some good news, the blog site http://www.planyourcity.net has invited me to contribute to their site.  I'm really excited about this one.  For those of you who are unaware, I also write a blog, historicpca.blogspot.com, dedicated to architecture, historic preservation, urban planning and design.  I started writing this blog as a way to keep myself occupied, out of trouble and out of the malls.  I pitched them my blog and said yes.  So depending on how frequently they want submissions, I'll be working on that as well.  I'm excited about this opportunity because it means my work will be read and commented upon by others and you never know.  I'm happy.  I still plan on looking for a real job until the writing thing pans out.

Things at home are neutral right now.  The bf is sick with a cold and mom is mom.  Me, I do what I can to deal with the petty annoyances of daily living, which accounts for pretty much everything.  The biggest annoyance is the fact that my car isn't functioning too well right now and I have to get a smog certificate if I want to continue driving in California-insert eyeroll.  Whatever.  I've been listening to some calypso/regge music right now.  It's a pretty mixed bag, from topical to outright whacky.  Anyway, we'll talk some more tomorrow.
