Over It

Hello Everyone: The department store scheduling deity blessed me with a long weekend and I've been using it to get some much needed rest. Although the work isn't that physically and mentally demanding, it can still leave me exhausted. Between all the things I have to keep straight in my head and the physical aspect of my job, I'm wrecked by the end of the week. Even more so when I have to work weekends. The good news is that I'm already plotting my escape route. Mainly, I'm looking for a career-oriented job that doesn't require frequent weekends. I don't mind giving up one weekend day every once in a while but not every other weekend or every weekend. I need my down time and, as weird as this sounds, I miss seeing Sis and BIL. Ok, mostly I miss their free flowing liquor cabinet. I'm just so over the whole working in retail thing. It's fun for about a few minutes and the employee discount is nice but it gets old really fast. At least I have some available options so I don't have to stay stuck there. I really have to hand it to people who enjoy this work, I'm just not one of them. Anyway, tomorrow is the start of a new week with fresh oppotunities.
