Curious Customer
Hello Everyone:
Not long back from a fairly quiet day a work. Before work I managed to get some blogging done, which made me very happy. I had this one customer come, ten minutes before closing to do a simple return. I've done her returns already and she seems rather nice. Apparently she's a frequent enough customer because she knows everyone by name. She seems to have taken a liking to me and I, for the most part, have no problem with her. It's gratifying to have one person how appreciates the work you do. We were chatting a little and I must've mentioned something about my previous teaching adventures because she asked me if I planned to return to the classroom. I told her I haven't ruled out (true) and she hoped I'd stay. My opinion about my department store job hasn't changed. I am grateful for the fact that it's meeting my needs right now but it's not part of my long term plans. I am interested to go back to the classroom but with an older group. Over the previous weekend, another option landed in my inbox. This a preservation-related job with The City. It's part time and pays more than my current job. I'll send in the application material and hope for the best. In the meantime, I have to wait until it's time to apply for classroom jobs.
