Moving Forward
Hello Everyone:
I had my phone interview today with the school I applied to and it went well. The person I spoke to still has a couple more people to speak to and, hopefully, I'm the one they offer the job to. It's a part time teacher assistant job with enough hours to keep me interested but the question of pay still remains. I applied for and interviewed for the job mainly because I'm tired of waiting for the healthcare company to find a place for me. I need to work and if it's not with them, then with someone else. I need to be in a place where I have stability and security. The recruiter looked me in the eye and said I was guaranteed a placement. She also told me during a Zoom call last week that she felt confident I can succeed as an field support representative. Okay, great. Now let me actually do the work, no more jumping through hoops. Speaking of hoop jumping, I continued with my onboarding today. This time is was a very easy and boring sexual harassment training session. Basically, it was sit and suffer through an hour long presentation, answer a few lame quiz questions, and get a certificate when done. Once I was done with that, it was on to the blog. I did send off my resume to another place. My motivation for applying to the school, besides the potential servicing of my community college teaching career, is to be able to go back to the healthcare company and say "hey I've got an offer, what about you?" I still want to work for the healthcare company but if they're going play around too much, I'll go somewhere else. Simple as that. If I get offered both jobs which would I pick? Which ever one services my needs.
