Setback
Hello Everyone:
I got into a very frustrating email conversation with the recruiter last night over placing me in a contact tracer job. The gist of it is that all the school districts she works with want people to work in-person. Normally I wouldn't have an issue with it but the school districts are so far away that, even with a car, I would spend something like two to four hours a day commuting back and forth. I told her that I was committed to working with the HR company and want to finish the onboarding process as well as keep looking for any remote job. I literally don't care what position I get placed, I just need to work. The whole thing is extraordinarily frustrating because it eats away at my sense of security and stability. It's making that the whole thing is a scam. When I was at the local office, I had a chance to talk to the recruiter. She assured me that I was guaranteed a place. Now I'm thinking she lied which is pretty messed up. The whole situation is very distracting, making it hard to write. Honestly, I don't get the impression that I'm being scammed but I just feel like the whole thing is a fraud. Anyway, I decided to switch my focus from writing to a Zoom lecture on architecture. I thought about blowing it off but decided I could use the break. I also sent off a resume to a school for an associate teacher position. I'll land somewhere, I just have to keep doing what I'm doing.
