Things Are Popping

Hello Everyone: It was a very chill weekend. Thursday I got some cooking done and replies to an email interview. The email interview was for an east coast staffing firm that was looking for a virtual assistant. Okay, I was game. I googled them to make sure the firm was for real but something didn't sit right. The firm is a .com and the email was from a .org address. This required further investigation. I even asked the BIL to check them out. The next day, I got an offer. The hours and pay were definitely there but the email was full of grammar and syntax errors. This told me that the writer was careless or not familiar with the English language. To further test the situation, I replied with a set of my own basic questions about the offer and the reply the email interview, again. Ya, no. In the meantime, I got a real recruiter email from a local healthcare staffing agency about a contact tracer job. Google search checked out and I scheduled an interview. I've been getting a lot of recruiter email lately. Some of it good, others not really relevant. Things are popping, I'm happy and grateful. I blew off the weekly lunch for two reasons. First, my allergies acted up and, omicron going around, I didn't want to take any chances. I took a home COVID test and the result was negative. I knew I wasn't sick. Second reason was a webinar on community college teacher certificate program. It's a pretty comprehensive program that, at the end of it, will prepare me to step into an adjunct professorship. It looks good but requires a committment. Doesn't anything worth doing require a committment? More in that another time.
