Love Museums
Hello Everyone:
I had a relatively quiet day today. I sent a follow up email to the museum I applied to yesterday with a little more information about me. I certainly hope that I have the chance to speak to someone about the job because it sounds like it would be a great place to work. I decided to take the Brit BF's suggestion and get out more. Yesterday evening I was scrolling through my email when I saw a notice from one of the local museums about a free admission day on Wednesday. Curious, I checked it out and decided it would be a great idea so I reserved a ticket for myself. Yay. It's nice that museums are open and I'm vaxxed so I can indulge in some art. Until recently, I forgot just how relaxing time spent at museum or gallery can be for me. Museum going shouldn't be a rushed matter. One should really take the time to enjoy the exhibits. Pre-pandemic, museum was getting to be a bit of a chore because of all the crowds. Even worse, were the chatterers and people tapping away on their phones. I can't begin to tell you how much that drives me up a tree. If you want to talk or text, go outside do that. Don't stay in the gallery and ruin the experience for everyone else. One of the real benefits of reserving tickets and timed entries is that it cuts down on the crowds. I want to get a close look at the work, not have to look at it over the top of someone's head. Anyway, it should be a lot fun. I never got how anyone could think that museum going was boring. They're just philistines.
