Totally Relaxed
Hello Everyone:
I spent my first full day of unemployment enjoying every minute of it. Really. I thought I would start to get anxious around 12:30 in the afternoon, in anticipation of having to perform the log in ceremony but I didn't. Instead I sent back the laptop and sat down to blog without a trace of guilt. The job coach finally returned an email I sent him (or her) last week about setting up a time to talk. I'm also looking forward to talking with the new recruiter about another job assignment. Of course there's still the possibility of being recalled to tracer land and, if I'm available, I would go back. The stuff that had me on the phone with my original recruiter ended up not being deal breakers. They managed to get worked out in some form. Also, I think if the contact tracer thing starts up again, the people in charge of the program will do things differently, maybe better. I'm being optimistic about it but the reality is the school district may find a way to mess it up again. Anyway, the Brit BF and I were exchanging soccer-related messages today. Ever the fan, he spent part of his day watching the Euro Cup and messaging me the play-by-play. Of course I had to respond with themed one liners. His messages help break up the day a little. I also got to play my music without plugging in the earbuds. Honestly, I don't miss having to plug them in because after a while, they hurt my ears. Also, I like to listen to music while I work. I felt that I really couldn't do that too much in case I miss an important message or video call. Anyway, time to eat, another bonus. I can schedule my meals when I'm really hungry.
