Crazy Business

Hello Everyone: An agonizingly slow day at work. No caseload which means that I'm stuck on an 8-hour Zoom call. Fortunately, I started a new blog post to help pass the time. I have my earbuds on so I don't miss a thing. Otherwise it's been a typical Wednesday. The mood in the room is pretty chill. The Brit BF and I got into one of our flirty chats again. It started with him telling me about a pitch he's submitting to a public broadcaster and went from there. We agreed to do a video chat over the weekend. That should be fun. In other news, the paycheck is late because of the Memorial Day holiday. I'm not too worried because the HR company is pretty good about paying people on time. I'll start to worry on Friday if I still don't see my check. I'm not surprised work is slow right now. It's almost the end of the school term. I have a feeling it might pick up before summer school starts and then slow down before picking back up. That's just the nature of this crazy work I do. It is pretty crazy when you think that working as a contact tracer depends on people getting violently ill. Crazy, right? Anyway, that's it for now.
