Things To Be Happy About

Hello Everyone: Today I was a little less bored. By that I mean I had to go run an errand to pick up some cleaning supplies and a couple of food items for cooking purposes. I had an interesting conversation with a random woman in the park. We were talking about being happy about the little things. I confessed I got happy about paying the rent. In my opinion that was either a good thing or pathetic. The woman reminded that it was a great thing because so many people don't have a home or are one step away from eviction. True. I'm glad I can do that. That's what I wanted, to be able to pay my own bills. It's scary at first but then it feels goods. Taking care of my business without the drama feels good. Yesterday I had to spend sometime on the phone, talking to the local social welfare agency. Always a joy (sarcsm alert) but it turned out to be a good experience. Maybe there people who work for the agency that genuinely want to help. Now for my next amazing feat, finding work. I have a plan for that. The application for a literacy aide really sparked something because I'm planning to take the teacher's basic credentialing exam. I read this morning that education is one of the future's hottest job markets and good earning potential. My plan is to take the exam, pass it, and start applying for instructional aide jobs to get some experience, then transition to my own classroom. The first step is taking the exam. Fortunately, the job coach provided me with some reliable links to help me fund the fees and study materials. I'll check them out and if it's good, I'll go for it. I'm not letting anything get in my way. Anyway, time to feed myself, another thing to be happy about.
