No Rush

Hello Everyone: Since mum's passing, one of her friends drops by once a week to chat and drop off some food. Nice of her to do that and this week was no exception. I couldn't spend a lot of time chatting because I had food in the oven and on the stove. I think she was very impressed that I prepare full meals for myself from scratch, not rely on take out. Take out's nice every once in a very odd while but not all the time. Not very healthy and too expensive. I have to admit that it's not always from scatch, I haven't mastered making pasta or pie crusts. I just just do enough to feed myself without getting sick. Also, I can follow a recipe and improvise when I need to. Anyway, I'm still on COVID break with family and really loving it. I although I have to admit I miss my nephews. I think I saw nephew #2 peddling to school this morning. He goes to a strict religious boys high school that meets on Sundays. I wonder if he still hates his school or resigned himself to the fact he's there for the full four years? I have to admit that do enjoy doing whatever I want, whenever I want. Eventually I will go back to the weekly lunches but I'm not in any rush.
